Family owned and operated since 1978, Best American has worked directly with individual consumers and global corporations alike to provide best in class customer service, product knowledge, and of course, high-quality trampoline products. We provide a process, a product, and a relationship that surpass any industry competitor. From top tier backyard trampolines to premium indoor trampoline park design and engineering, all our products are made from the highest-quality materials and assembled using superior craftsmanship. We have not only designed, manufactured, and equipped over 200 trampoline parks worldwide, we have contributed to the evolution of the trampoline park industry by producing innovative solutions and concepts that transformed the original concept. First generation trampoline parks included a simple court layout of interlocking trampolines in a big box space. The trampoline parks of today are multi-attraction family entertainment centers that encourage the entire family to enjoy time together. Best American has lead the movement of the trampoline park industry by providing innovative attractions that challenge the norm of the industry.

Phillip Howell

President

Phillip is the President and CEO of Best American Trampolines. He brought his 14 years of experience in residential trampoline manufacturing to the indoor trampoline park industry in 2007 when he began designing and manufacturing indoor trampoline parks and attractions.

Today, Best American has become known in the industry for its superior quality American made products and customer service with over 200 successful park openings worldwide. Phillip was part of a select group tasked with the creation of the Trampoline Court safety standards in the U.S., (ASTM F2970-13) for ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials). He was also a founding board member of the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) and served on the IATP board from 2012-2016.

Phillip continues to be a leader in the industry, creating a turn-key approach to trampoline park development and offering new attractions and services as part of the company’s growing portfolio.

Tracy Sarris

Chief Operating Officer

As the Chief Executive Officer of Best American Trampolines, Tracy serves as an integral member of the senior management team, being responsible for the development of Best American’s financial management strategy and contributing to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, she is charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms of the company.

Tracy brings over twenty-six years of business and executive management experience to Best American, half of which were spent working in the amusement and entertainment industry. Her experience includes spending five years in the role of President of the International Association of Leisure and Entertainment (IALEI) and, later, helping to establish the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP), which she managed under her own consulting company before accepting a position at Best American in 2015.

Her experience also includes acting as Chief Marketing Officer for an entertainment consulting company, launching several successful marketing campaigns as an independent consultant and contributing as a writer to several trade industry magazines. Tracy continues to be an active member of the IATP Board of Directors, as well as acting as Chair of the Finance Committee.

Director of Sales

As the Director of Sales, Sue is responsible for the leadership of the Best American Trampolines sales team. She is a California State University, Long Beach graduate and brings more than twenty-five years of sales experience, eleven of which were spent in the pharmaceutical industry, to the Best American team.

Prior to joining Best American, Sue helped co-found and launch the Rockin’ Jump Franchise Group, which sold to a private equity group in 2017. The six years she devoted to Rockin’ Jump granted her the opportunity to hold a variety of positions including, the management of the original park to later setting up a call center, managing corporate sales, onboarding new franchisees, and park design.

Aside from these roles, Sue also worked alongside Best American Trampolines from 2011 – 2017 where she developed a great working relationship. The transition to having her as part of the Best American team has been a smooth one. We are fortunate to have her.

In addition to her sales experience and expertise in the trampoline park industry, Sue is part of a select group of industry professionals, F24 Sub Task group, that have written and published safety standards through ASTM International. She has also been an active board member with the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) since 2014.

Erica Mercer

Director of Marketing

As the Director of Marketing Erica’s primary objective is to ensure that Best American’s marketing efforts consistently represent the superior quality and innovation that surrounds Best American’s reputation in the trampoline park industry.

Her passion for marketing and love of working with a team ensures that Best American’s marketing strategy is advancing in the right direction. Erica is a West Texas A&M University graduate and enjoys spending time at the lake or snow skiing with family and friends in her spare time.

Caleb Hailey

Director of Project Management

Caleb is a people person. His relatability and knack for customer service served him well in his previous role as General Manager and Operations Director of a trampoline park. His hands-on trampoline park experience enables him to help the customer through the planning process, from design and installation, to daily park operations. When he’s not working, you can find Caleb in a duck blind or on a golf course.

Bradley Howell

3D Design Director

Bradley is a Baylor University alumnus. He was inspired by Hollywood films and his own extensive world travel to create vivid, life-like environments using CGI and 3D modeling software. He is passionate about the ability to make the client’s dreams a (virtual) reality.

Matthew Howell

Senior Engineer

Matthew graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with two Engineering Degrees. His love of mechanical devices began at the age of 10, designing and fabricating machines and equipment for his family shop. Combining his hands-on experience with his engineering knowledge, Matthew has held Mechanical Engineering positions with: Oceaneering Space Systems, Dynacon Inc., and BMI Defense Systems.

Invited annually to Texas A&M University and the Fort Worth Agricultural Mechanics Show, to serve on a panel of judges to assist students with their Mechanical Design Projects. As the Senior Engineer at Best American, Matthew creates 2D & 3D models of mechanical and non-mechanical systems, performs structural design and analysis of mechanical systems, drafts mechanical drawings for projects, and performs and coordinates computer generated prototype testing to show compliance with system requirements.

Lyndi Howell

Senior Engineer

Since obtaining her Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, Lyndi has held many prestigious positions with some of the world’s top corporations, including: Senior Engineer at Dynacon, Inc, Engineer II at The Boeing Company, and Data Extractor and Importer for the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. At Best American, Lyndi provides models for mechanical and non-mechanical systems using 3D CAD software, communicates with clients, performs manufacturability assessments, and provides onsite project support.

Greg Spittle

Managing Partner, Active8 Software

Greg has experience in various areas, from engineering to marketing, purchasing, management, and leadership. He spent the first ten years of his career at a Fortune 500 company, with responsibilities ranging from sales to business strategy. Since then, he has been in the software industry, where he grew his first company to over $1 million in annual sales, prior to joining Active8 in his current role as Managing Partner.

Greg received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Methodist University.

Rob Bogdanowicz

General Counsel

Rob serves as the company’s General Counsel. He advises the company on day-to-day business matters involving all aspects of operations. He maintains a private practice as a partner at the law firm of Calhoun, Bhella & Sechrest in Dallas, Texas. Rob’s peers have recognized his commitment to excellence; he has been named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers® from 2012 – 2017. Selection to this list is a distinction limited to 2.5% of all lawyers in Texas.

In 2017, Rob was distinguished further as one of the “Up-and-Coming Top 100 Rising Stars”, a select list of only 100 attorneys in the state. He was also honored as one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas Under 40” by D Magazine and featured in its January 2018 issue.

A New York native, Rob made his way to Texas after graduating from Rutgers University in New Jersey to attend Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he earned Dean’s List honors and was one of only ten graduates named to the Order of Barristers, a prestigious honor society recognizing outstanding advocacy skills.
